Magazine Legs


Well today I had planned to go to the gym after work, but I forgot my iPod, and had to do some other stuff so I went home instead. I did however do a little workout at home, I've been tearing all the workouts out of health magazines, so I went through picked out the leggy ones and had a go. I got a bit of a sweat on too, so all was not lost and at least I did something.


I then had a homemade carbonara, proper one with just egg and pancetta, yum.

Running Shoes and Yoga Toes


Right well I have started as I mean to go on, this morning I managed to drag myself out of bed at 5:30, (was then confronted with cat sick which really did wake me up) and went or a run. I'm still a relative novice when it comes to this running malarkey, so it's just intervals at the moment but I'm working on it, and making good progress, well I think so anyway. 

I think I might need some new running sneaks though, that's a hole in the toe...

Then after work I went for my Monday night yoga sesh. It's a beginners class but I love it still manage to get a good stretch, and chills me right out. I usually manage to fall asleep during the relaxation at the end which can be a bit embarrassing, but meh I don't care that much. I always seem to sleep much better at night after yoga too, so try to avoid early morning exercise on a Tuesday to make the most of it. I actually had my my toenails painted too, so it was my first class without socks!!

Juicing?

Well I've been playing with my new juicer, they don't seem to look too appetising but they taste nice enough. Not really sure what I'm doing so just throw in handfuls of fruit and greens. This one had blueberrys, strawberries, spinach, lemon, cucumber, an orange and a nectarine. Think I went a bit overboard there was quite a lot.


I also made a hangover juice for my boy, he had a bit of a heavy one last night for a friends stag do. It was a bit like a Virgin Mary with tomatoes, celery and chilli so not for me. Well not for breakfast anyway.

Holidays in the Sun


So last week me and my fella were in Rhodes, for some well earned relaxation in the sun. We had a beautiful view from our balcony at sunset. My pictures don't really do it justice.



True to form I didn't do any exercise as planned, but I did make a workout plan for now we are are back. I will see how I get on with that... think maybe I'm being a little too ambitious but I'm a bit all or nothing unfortunately which can be my undoing when I lean towards nothing. We also agreed that we wanted to have a go at a juice detox a go, and I did actually buy a juicer today, just need to get the fruit and veg now.

Our hotel was amazing, it was a budget one so fairly basic, but it was like being in a time warp. Everything was immaculate and looked new, when at the same time looked like it had come straight from the '70s.


Most of the time we just sat in the sun, I managed to get through about 6 books. I had forgotten how much I love reading! Also wrote a load of lists of things we need to do, so hopefully we will get things moving, I'm quite keen to shake off my procrastinating ways, but only time will tell. Maybe books will be my new distraction hehe.

Packing?

Last day before we are off to sunny Rhodes for a week, not that it's not sunny here but it's different when you're away isn't it, you don't have to work for a start.

We are just doing that thing of clearing out our fridge/cupboards before we go away, and eating or chucking all the stuff that won't keep. So I finally got around to eating my Ilumi, pork, mushroom and madeira meal pouch. Soo tasty, I got it in a mix of things I was trying out and I will definately seek it out again in the future.

Think I may have left a few too many thing until the last minute though, at work until 4:30, then a session with my personal trainer until 6:00, then my Mum is over at 7:00 for cat babysitting instructions and I still have to pack!! Whoops. Flight is at 5:40am in the morning so I may just have to sleep on the plane...

I'm not the only one that leaves packing until the last minute am I?

The Beginning....

Right where to start? 

Well I guess from now. 

 At the moment I have a list as long as my arm of things I need to sort out, wedding stuff, home stuff and fitness stuff pretty much everything. But I currently have the perfect excuse not to do any of them, I am going on holiday on Friday so seems fairly pointless to start anything now. Doesn't it? True to form I have the best intentions to start organising myself whilst I'm away and have a torn out section of Womens Health for a bikini bod by the pool workout. Both of which I'm sure will be pushed aside in favour of the book I'm reading, or food I need to eat. But we shall see... Do you think it's a valid excuse not to start anything before my holiday?
